This position is located in the Physical Therapy Departmentwithin the Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation Service of the VA AmbulatoryCare Center in Columbus, OH.Under the supervision of a physical therapist, thePTA provides services that promote the prevention, remediation, andrehabilitation of acute and chronic physical dysfunction across the continuumof care and services provided by the PM&R Service.The PTA participates inplanning and implementing complex treatment programs and applies physical therapyprocedures to patients under the general supervision of a Physical Therapist.S/he is expected to carry out general duty assignments in areas such asorthopedics, geriatrics, traumatic brain injury (TBI), neurology, healthpromotion, pain management, assistive technology, spinal cord injury,cardiopulmonary, stroke, poly-trauma, balance/vestibular dysfunction, andclinical education.This positionsupports the Ambulatory Care Center, community based outpatient clinic (CBOC)s,and home based primary care (HBPC) referrals.This is an outpatient position.
